Kira Yukimura in Monstrous (4x10)
The Maze Runner was pretty good, I mean I would say it’s tied with Divergent in terms of Dystopian young adult movies, The Hunger Games being the top dog in that genre.
TMR probably would have ranked lower after Divergent for me, if it hadn’t picked up like it had towards the end. Which should give way that the beginning and the first half of the middle was a slow start.
Some could say it’s slow start is to lay foundation, but more than half the questions I have will not be answered in the next movie …if there is one. I would probably have to read the book to get them answered. And yeah some things are left out, some things get rushed when it comes to adaptations. But I literally sometimes felt that someone had fastforwarded between scenes.
There, was some lines that were funny, some that were cheesy, and some that were overacted, like it was ott.
Also, your only female character that’s advertised, it felt like she didn’t have a purpose other than her hinted connection and possible future romantic plot to the protagonist, and to be a plot device …uh. And then you have cliche characters of color outcome …yeah.
I’m at the theaters for The Maze Runner, it’s mostly empty in here. Then again it’s 10 on a school night.
I’m going to see The Maze Runner tonight …I think.
I shall see how the movie is.

Season Four ended with Rick and the group out-gunned, outnumbered, and trapped in a train car awaiting a grim fate. Season Five picks up shortly thereafter. What follows is a story that weaves the true motives of the people of Terminus with the hopeful prospect of a cure in Washington, D.C., the fate of the group’s lost comrades, as well as new locales, new conflicts, and new obstacles in keeping the group together and staying alive.
Stories will break apart and intersect. The characters will find love and hate. Peace and conflict. Contentment and terror. And, in the quest to find a permanent, safe place to call home, one question will haunt them…After all they’ve seen, all they’ve done, all they’ve sacrificed, lost, and held on to no matter what the cost…Who do they become?
